This digital Insize outside micrometre measures the outside diameters of cutting tools with 3 flutes. The carbide measuring faces wear less than steel faces and allow for longer tool life. The ratchet stop can be locked into place, using the lock nut on the pivot spindle. The dial graduations are in thousandths of an inch, and the shaft can be extended to accommodate long tools up to at least 19 in long with a simple conversion kit (sold separately).
