The Chakhesangs are a major Naga ethnic group found in the state of Nagaland, India.
Tiza is the carnelian bead that makes up the central part of a Tida, a necklace worn by the women of most Naga tribes.
It is a broad, heavy, delicate, and beautiful jewellery made up of carnelians, agate, ivory, glass beads, etc, laced together in specific patterns.
Traditionally, a Tiza is a girl’s prized possession. Upon attaining puberty, it is gifted to the daughters by their mothers.
The number of strands and quality of the Tiza denotes wealth and status.

Details of the tribe:-
The Nagaland tribe is one of the tribes of the homeland of 16 prominent tribes. The Nagaland tribe is located in the hills and mountains of the northeastern part of India. The word naga is popularly believed to have originated from the Burmese word na-ka, meaning people with earrings. The people belonging to the era of the Indus Valley Civilization were one of the first jewellery makers.
