Product Details

This autoclavable desiccator can hold vacuum up to 740mm of Hg for 24 hours without any greasing. Dome provided with a knurled knob at the top for easy handling and polypropylene stop-cock with self lubricating PTFE plug. This stopcock works three ways – for vacuum creation, shutting off and vacuum release. Lower container has internal groove on the flange to take a silicon rubber O-ring. Supplied with thick perforated polypropylene plate with a big hole at the center for easy lifting and small holes providing air troughs and support to the dishes. Also allows use of incandescent crucibles with porcelain desiccator plates. A convenient neatly fitted removable pan holds calcium chloride or other drying agents without any risk of corrosion.

ALPHA CHEM-830 Desiccator Plain
Plain Desiccators are physically the same as Vaccum Desiccator. Only difference is the absence of stop cock. Grease should be applied on the flanges to make it air tight. Both Vaccum & Plain Desiccators are provided with a thick perforated Polypropylene disc with a big holes in the centre for easy lifting. The tiny hles in the disc provide air troughs & support to the dishes. However procelain discs are advisable in case of incandescent crucibles.
