A delta gasket is a pressure actuated gasket primarily used on pressure vessels and valve bonnets at very high pressures in excess of 5000 PSI. Internal pressure forces the gasket material to expand when the pressure forces tend to separate the flanges. Delta Gaskets are used for High pressure connections and autoclaves upto 2000mm, which are produced from seamless rings and material used is softer than flanges material.
