Product Details no_img_icon

Deep-drawn shielding cans are soft ferromagnetic shields featuring superior material characteristics such as high linearity, very low hysteresis, and high magnetic permeability.

These shields are designed for protecting sensitive circuits from unwanted parasitic magnetic fields. Applications include power inverters, magnetic sensors, magnetic immunity and EMI.

We offer a wide range of 5-sided magnetic shielding MuMETAL® Cans stamped or formed in either ROUND or RECTANGULAR shapes, and deep-drawn up to a 3:1 depth ratio when necessary. Our standard stock range and custom sizes are available in thicknesses from 0.014’’ to 0.062’’ [0.36mm to 1.57mm thick] and made from various MuMETAL®, Co-NETIC® or NETIC® shielding alloys depending on your exact shielding requirements. Typically, our high permeability(µ) 80% nickel-iron MuMETAL® cans are shipped as is since our AA Perfection Annealing method provides a bright nickel appearance after anneal. We do offer other finishes including plating, electro-polish, powder coating and paint.

For custom cans, new tooling normally takes approximately six weeks before supply of first article parts for approval but we can produce pre-production prototypes of a new design in 2-3 weeks to verify the product prior to any tool cost being incurred.

Note: Send us your part drawing for quotation or see our standard stock range below.
