Contact SupplierThe process by which the minerals present in the raw water are removed by Ion Exchange process is known asDemineralisation. The removal of these minerals are very important as otherwise these minerals form deposits in pipelines and equipments which lead to reduced waterflow and heat transfer efficiency over a period of time which ultimately affects the life of the equipment.Â
The Demineralisation Plants find application in high pressure boilers, power generations plants, Hi-tech electronic industries, pharmaceutical and other process industries etc.Â
Basically the removal of minerals are carried out in the Cation exchanger and Anion exchanger of the DM plant. The fill media in these exchangers are Cation and Anion resins respectively. Different types of Demineralisation plants are available depending on the quality of water required by the end-user.Â
Cations:- Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium & Potassium
Anions:- Chlorides, Sulphates, Nitrates, Phosphates & Silica
