Dalton Natural Silex Filter Media, Color : Off White-Brown

Silex Natural Filter Sand is used as last layer of sand in filter bed. Below silex sand, support pebbles are layered out to support sand layers.  Importance of filter sand, to work for physical treatment (catching the turbidity component suspended) in rapid filtration and for biological treatment in slow filtration. High quality filter sand requires the proper angularity, hardness, spherecity and size. Silex Sand improves efficiency by reducing retention time and head pressure loss with greater flow rates.
