The catalyst filter consist of number of tubular s.s. Candles inside a pressure vessel similar to pressure leaf filter. Each s.s
typical candle is covered with suitable high pressure filter cloth which snuggly fits around the curved surface during filtration.
During the catalyst recovery cycle, filter cloth is lifted from the curved surface and this movement causes the catalyst cake
to release from the filter cloth. Due to typical cylindrical filter element design, very large filtration area per volume is achieved.
Thorough easy back washing is achieved due to effective manifold design.
Cake discharge:
the cake is discharge in a semi dry form by relasing a pulse on nitrogen from the pulse buffer tank. This pulse will either pulse
back a volume of liquid that will clean the filter tubes candles in jet mode by reversed flow to create wet slurry cake discharge.
In the case of dry cake discharge is required the cake will first be blown dry with nitrogen steam and then a reversed
pulse of nitrogen will be jet-pulsed by reversed flow to dry discharge the cake.
