The headspace module has been designed specifically for materials and substances that changes the water content if brought into contact with ambient air. The sample vials are sealed and placed in the headspace oven where the sample is heated out. The liberated moisture is carried into the measuring cell via the needle and tube system. At no time the sample gets into contact with the atmosphere.
