Compact Logix™ and Compact Guard Logix® controllers use a common control engine with a common development environment to provide mid-range application control in an easy-to-use environment. Tight integration between the programming software, controller and I/O modules reduces development time and cost at commissioning and during normal operation. This commonality provides cost-effective integration of a machine or safety application into a plant-wide control system because it integrates safety, motion, discrete and drive capabilities in a single controller.

  • Offers support for Integrated Motion over Ethernet/IP™ for maximized scalability
  • Provides support for Device Level Ring (DLR) network topologies to help increase network resiliency

  • Includes up to a 2-GB secure digital (SD) card for fast program save and restore
  • Offers a smaller form factor for maximized cabinet space
  • Supports up to 2 axes Kinematics for simple articulated robotics
  • Offers open socket capability that allows support for Modbus TCP as well as devices such as printers, barcode readers and servers
  • Provides ability to connect with scaled HMI options from the Panel View™ Plus portfolio to PanelView 800 graphic terminals for simple features
