HyFlex rotary files are NiTi instruments used for canal enlargement to prepare the root canal for irrigation and obturation in continuous rotation or depending on the clinical situation also in reciprocal motion.

• The files are extremely flexible but without the shape memory of conventional NiTi Files.
• This gives the file the ability to follow the anatomy of the canal very closely, reducing the risk of ledging, transportation or perforation.
• Furthermore the files can be pre-bent, similar to the way of stainless steel.
• Particularly in root canals with abrupt curvatures this can help avoid the creation of steps.
• HyFlex CM is a CM wire technology file developed exclusively by COLTENE. Controlled Memory files (not just heat treated files) are far superior files because they prevent prevent ledge, transportation, and zipping.
• HyFlex CM remains centered to the canal and hence preparation is all around and also does not change anatomy of canal (i.e. It does not straighten the canal)
• Hyflex CM has high cyclic fatigue resistance and that lessens the chance of file separation (breakage). Hyflex CM has about 339% fracture resistance then average NITI file.
• Regains shape after heat treatment = Multi-use. The REGENERATIVE properties of Hyflex CM make it ideal for multiple uses and hence economical. HyFlex CM perhaps is the only autoclavable file in the market. Autoclaving, glass bead sterilization strengthens the file. 
• The flutes of the Hyflex CM show indication before breaking, it can be discarded at that time. This prevents the risk of accidental file separation.
• All corresponding steriled Gutta Percha points are available.
