Color Masterbatches for Biopolymers

We are offering color masterbatches for biopolymers, polylactic acid (pla), polyhydroxyalkanoate (pha), polyhydroxybutyrate (phb) and starch-based resins like novamont’s mater-bi can be more colorful, thanks to new masterbatch choices from clariant. Options can include natural colors drawn from renewable sources like plants, or conventional, man-made ingredients in a compatible carrier produced in compliance with standards governing compostability and ecotoxicity. Formulations are available for food-contact applications and many carry “ok compost” certification and comply with widely recognized standards for heavy-metal content and plant-toxicity. More economical and more process- and light-stable than all-natural products, they represent a convenient alternative.
