Karnataka is the leading coffee growing state in India with contribution over 70%. Coffee producing districts in Karnataka are Coorg, Chikmagalur and Hassan. Coffee is also grown in parts of Kerala and Tami Nadu besides non-traditional areas smaller contribution to the total output. Major trading centres for coffee included: Hassan, Kushalnagar and Chickmagalur. India has the share of only about 5% in global crop output. Brazil & Vietnam are the leading producers of coffee.
