Kaolinite is a clay mineral, part of the group of industrial minerals with the chemical composition Al₂Si₂O₅(OH)₄.                                                                                                                                                          Kaolin clay or China clay is the most gentle among all the other types of clays used in skin care. The name “Kaolin” originates from “Kaoling,” a hill in China from where this clay was first obtained or mined. In China, this clay is mostly used for making porcelain and also as a medicine for treating diarrhea.
