Enjoy a fascinating ride in a local rickshaw in Chandni Chowk to see the local bazaars with a scenic drive by the Red Fort. Visit the grand Jama Masjid Mosque, built in 1656 by Emperor Shah Jahan. It comprises of three imposing domes of white and black marble and twin minarets flanking the majestic central arch. A grand staircase of red sandstone leads to a magnificently arched doorway. Also visit Raj Ghat, the Mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi which was erected in 1963 where Gandhi lived from 1917 to 1930. It was built by Charles Correa as a tribute to Gandhi, to spread his ideas, his letters, his photographs and other documents which mark the path of the pursuit of freedom. You can also visit the Laxmi Narayan temple, also known as Birla Mandir, which is one of Delhi’s major tourist attractions. The temple is dedicated to Laxmi (the goddess of prosperity) and Narayana (The Preserver).
