    Description Of Cinnamon Leaf (spice oil):
    Cinnamon is the collective name given to several plant species in the genus Cinnamomum ( Family Lauraceae) grown for their bark which is used as a flavoring. Cinnamon trees are small evergreens with aromatic bark and leaves. The leaves of the tree are thick and oval in shape, growing on smooth gray branches. The tree produces small yellow or green flowers on panicles and a berry fruit. Cinnamon trees can reach heights of up to 20m (66ft) in the wild but are usually coppiced to smaller bushes under cultivation. Cinnamon trees have an economic lifespan of approximately 10 years. Cinnamon may be referred to as cassia and originates from Asia.

    Distillation & Properties of Cinnamon Leaf oil:
    Cinnamon leaf oil which is more dedicated than cinnamon bark oil is produced via steam Steam-distillation or water Distillation. The leathery green leaves are preffered from the trees and there left to dry for several days. Afterward they go through a special water steam distillation machine that extracts the oil. Cinnamon leaf oil can be distilled via traditional method where a huge wooden vessel is fitted with a cooper head or top that holds as much as 600kg of dried cinnamon leaves. The vessel is placed in a automatic boiler that produces the steam distillation method. The Phenols in cinnamon tree leaves gives cinnamon leaf oil its rejuvenating and health promoting quality. Cinnamon leaf contains 70 to 96 percent Phenols mainly eugenol which is responsible for its many beneficial properties. Distillation is the process which gives best quality of oil . Distillation takes 3-4 Hours.
