Chondroitin Sulfate is a creamish colour powder formed naturally by the body for the synthesis and maintenance of connective tissue. It functions as a component of proteoglycans (found throughout the human body, forming the intricate extracellular matrix). They are basically carbohydrate-rich structure with a central protein rod with many strings of glucosamine-containing glycosaminoglycan’s extending outward and they get linked to collagen fibres to form connective tissues. The manufacturing of Chondroitin sulfate is usually manufactured from animal sources, such as shark and cow cartilage.
