Chlorinated Paraffin’s (CPs) are complex mixtures of certain organic compounds containing chloride: polychlorinated n-alkanes. Chlorinated Paraffin’s are classified according to their carbon-chain length and percentage of chlorination, with carbon-chain lengths generally ranging from C10 to C20 and chlorination from approximately 70% by weight. It is a transparent viscous liquid having distinct sweet odor.
