The classic game of strategy and intellect - Chess!

Chess is a two-player board game that involves moving pieces on a square board with the ultimate goal of capturing the opponent's king.

The Board

The chessboard consists of 64 squares, arranged in an 8x8 grid. The squares are usually colored in a checkered pattern, with light and dark squares alternating.

The Pieces

Each player starts with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns.

1. _King_: The most important piece, as the objective is to protect it and checkmate the opponent's king.

2. _Queen_: The most powerful piece, able to move in any direction (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) any number of squares.

3. _Rook_: A piece that can move horizontally or vertically any number of squares.

4. _Bishop_: A piece that can move diagonally in any direction.

5. _Knight_: A piece that moves in an L-shape (two squares in one direction, then one square to the side).

6. _Pawn_: The foot soldiers, able to move forward one square
