Today, with a pan-India presence, Tisser is the working with artisans and weaver in different clusters / states of this vast country, for products that derive from traditional crafts and knowledge. All products are skilfully made and crafted from villages across India where the company works closely with the artisans, providing various inputs including design, quality control. Tisser endeavor is to bring customers a choice of products - and lifestyle - that offers an alternative to the mass-produced, while creating sustainable livelihoods in the rural sector.
TIsser India is start-up handicrafts and rural products wholesale and retail establishment located in Mumbai, Maharashtra since 2014 September a an LLP and is now registered as a Private limited company as Tisser Rural Handicrafts . Tisser India expects to catch the interest of regular loyal customers around the world with its broad varieties of handicrafts, clothing, accessories produced by rural artisans. The company plans to build a strong market position in the globe through establishing dedicated supply chain from rural artisans and developing strong network with contemporary designers and other stakeholders. We work with rural artisans to bring them directly into the ladder of supply chain market through design and marketing support .

In the first year of our operation we have partnered with more than 4000 artisans from 12 different states of India. We have more than 300 products inventory and everyday this number is increasing. The revenue for the first year of our operation has been 50 lakhs which has potential to grow by 6 crores in coming years. Tisser has an operational office and dispatch unit with regular staff working. It has a core management team for business expansion and operations.
Tisser intend to explore innovative approached to connect artisans direct to customer through the online portal by piloting with 50 artisans in 2015. We are also setting up the Tisser Trust to support artisans skill and training on one hand and supporting the girl child of the artisans .
