This equipment also has a major presence in central heating/cooling and air pollution control systems at industrial level. It has a fan wheel composed of a number of fan bladesor ribs mounted around a hub that turns on a driveshaft passing through the fan housing. The gas enters from the side of the fan wheel, turns 90 degrees and accelerates due to centrifugal force as it flows over the fan blades and exit the fan housing.
