Our Remote-Readable Pulse Output Water Meters provide a great way to monitor water usage, either locally or remotely, in order manage and control how much water is being consumed by multiple users. Our meters are well made, industrial-grade stainless steel. You can use them as a traditional read-off-the-face water meters, or you can use the pulse output to count pulses as they happen for a given amount of water flow. Each meter produces a pulse for a specific amount of water that is measured. The pulses can be counted remotely by our EKM Omnimeter Pulse v.4 and EKM Push system. Or you can set up the water meters with a local digital display with our 8 Digit Pulse Counter.
Our High Definition 3/4" models are designed to generate pulses at a high rate to provide high granularity data when set up to read with a computer. This high granularity can provide better insights into usage patterns. In particular, it can tell you if you have a leak in your water system, because it only takes ~0.6 of a pint of water leakage to generate a pulse. In other words, if you see a pattern of pulses when you shouldnot (when you arenot intentionally using water) then you probably have a leak somewhere. The number of pulses over a given period of time will tell you how severe the leak is.
