Characterized with a Castle like shape, Castle Nut, also known as slotted nut, resembles crenellated parapet of medieval ages. Castle Nuts may have one or two holes drilled through the threaded end, which provides adequate torque. A Castle Nut once put in place is secured using a split pin or a safety wire.
