Cast Steel Ball Valve

In a Ball Valve a sperical hollow ball with a hole in the middle, that is propotionate to the pipeline size, is used to control the flow in a pipeline. In a lever operated Ball Valve, if the position of the lever is perpendicular to the valve body then the valve is in closed position or in other words there is no flow in the pipeline. The ball Valve come in either Full Bore or Reduced Bore also refered to as Full Port Reduced Port respectively. In a Full Bore Full Port Ball Valve the size of the hole of the spherical ball is the same as the size of the inner diameter of the connecting pipe where as in a Reduced Bore Reduced Port ball valve the size of the hole of the spherical ball is one size smaller to the connecting pipe’s inner diameter. Ball valves are either Manual Operated, Gear Operated or come with a actuator for Valve.
