Design Features
Construction : H.V & L.V windings are made of electrolytic copper conductors covered with inorganic thermally upgraded insulating material (nomex)which can with stand temperature upto 2200C and which has good mechanical strength.
Coil Casting : HV & LV windings of each phase are cast separately under vacuumto get void free homogeneous casting. Theepoxy casting has high resistance against moisture absorption. Every Transformeris testedfor partialdischargeasper IS.
Iron Core : The limbsare of multi step circularcross section steplap interleaved type to reduce the no load losses.
Tap Changing
Normally : ±2.5 %,:±5.0%of primary voltage variation is provided by off load links arrangement.Other percentage of voltage variations can be provided as per customers requirements. Tap changing switch can be provided on request.
Thennal Protection : RTD is provided onLVwinding of all the three phases of the transformer.Allthe RIDs are connected to the scanner which monitors and indicates the temperature. The temperature scanner is provided with trip and alarm contacts.
