The matrix structure varies from Ferrito-Pearlitic, Pearlitic to Bainitic & Martensitic together with different carbide contents and graphite in the form of spheroidsnodules. Some critical grades are heat treated for higher strength. Chemical composition and structure are chosen to suit specific application.
