P-Press contains propranolol. It is useful in the treatment of hypertension, irregular heart rate, thyrotoxicosis, prophylaxis of migraine, and essential tremors. Propranolol is a beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent which is competitive at both 2 adrenoceptors. It has beta 1 and 2 membranes stabilizing activity at concentration>1.3 mg.
