Contact SupplierCarbon steel Orifice Flanges are used with orifice meters for the purpose of measuring the flow rate of either liquids or gases in the respective carbon steel piping line. Directly opposite to each other, mostly on two sides pairs of pressure "Tappings" are machined into the carbon steel orifice flanges. This makes separate orifice carriers or tappings in the pipe line wall unnecessary are avoided by these type of carbon steel forged Set of Orifice Flanges.
Carbon steel Orifice Flanges normally comes with either Raised Faces or RTJ (Ring Type Joint) facings end connection. They are, for all intensive purposes, the same as Carbon steel weld neck and Carbon steel slip-on flanges with extra machining.
The above image shows a set Carbon steel Orifice Flanges, where a Carbon steel Orifice Plate is mounted and a Carbon steel jack screw is machined. This Carbon steel jack screw is used to facilitate separating the Carbon steel flanges for inspection or replacement of the Carbon steel Orifice Plate and gaskets.
The range of Carbon steel orifice flanges covers all standard sizes and ranges, and all common Carbon steel flange materials. Carbon steel Flanges are available in Welding Neck, Slip On, and Threaded types, and are typically supplied with two 1/2" NPT tappings in each Carbon steel flange.
