Caprylic Acid is saturated medium-chain fatty acid with 8-carbon backbone. The richest source of Caprylic Acid is Coconut Oil and Coconuts, other natural sources include full fat cow’s milk, Peanut Butter and Palm Fruit Oil.

Application

It is used commercially in the production of esters used in perfumery and manufacture of dyes. It is an antimicrobial pesticide used as a food contact surface sanitizer in commercial food handling establishments on dairy equipment, food processing equipment, breweries, wineries and beverage processing plants. It is also used as disinfectant in healthcare facilities, educational institutions, veterinary facilities and in hotels/motels.
