A main river, Sub canals and Capillary Canals. Capillary canals are made out of clay work and has typical problem of seepage during the irrigating season. To mitigate this problem, earthen canals, even though relatively inexpensive to construct, loss 40 percent or more of the water they transport to seepage and the concrete veneer may still crack over the time. Emmbi has developed and commissioned across India a Specialized “Composite Canal Liner” . While the concrete veneer may still crack over time, the geo-membrane remains in place underneath the veneer to prevent seepage until the concrete can be repaired. Use of Emmbi canal liner not only reduce the percentage of seepage from the canal and save the precious water resource. Proper water proofing also ensures increase in the net irrigetable area for the farmer. Emmbi liners are made from the Special Cattle Safe Material.
