Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) is the result of melting and extrusion of Polyester and Nylon chips or flake. While the POY is still in the production process it is as much as five times of its original length to meet the strength, elongation and shrinkage requirements.

POY yarn is available in different lustre like Semi-Dull POY, Full Dull POY and Bright POY. The Bright POY has the shine in it due to the cross-sections in the filaments. Polyester POY yarn is mainly available in Raw White color.

Colour to POY comes from using dope dyed technology so that its each and every part gets colour evenly and matches the customer requirement. Mixing the raw material with Colour master-batch is what gives it colour or dope dyed effect. From here on POY can be used to make nylon or polyester textured yarn.
