Types

316 Stainless Steel Cam and Groove Couplings are investment cast, also known as precision casting or lost wax process. SS316 is equivalent to DIN1.4404
Brass Cam and Groove Couplings for 1/2" to 6" sand-cast for all sizes.
Aluminum Cam and Groove Couplings are permanent mold cast that is a process that yields castings with a finer grain structure and better strength properties than those produced in sand casting and die casting

Applications Cam lock fittings are used for connecting pipes, hoses, tubing and tanks conveying liquids, powders & vapours including cooling water, fuels, chemicals, cosmetics, foodstuffs, adhesives, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pellets and many more. How does it work The Cam lock coupling is connected by simply opening the coupler arms and inserting the adaptor into the coupler The two cam arms are then closed under normal hand pressure to complete joint. Cam & Groove Coupling Technical Information / Specification HTS, cam and groove couplings are capable of carrying gases, liquids, powders and granules. The applications for this 'straight through' coupling are limited only by the chemical compatibility of the material, the seal with the media being handled, and the working pressure requirement. Probably the simplest and most versatile quick coupling available. Interchangeable with other cam and groove products, originally made to MIL-C-27487, DIN 2828. Handles, Rings & Pins Stainless Steel Handles are standard on all Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass , Web couplings. Finger Rings are zinc plated mild steel on all sizes of Aluminum, Brass. Stainless Steel Rings are used on all sizes of Stainless Steel Cam and Groove fittings. Accessories Dependant on application, various seals are available for Cam and Groove Fittings such as Buna, EPDM, Viton, Neoprene, and FEP fully encapsulated. Replacement handle, ring and pin assembly kits Cam lock Fittings are available in SS304 and brass.

Working pressures are given for ambient temperatures of 70^oF, using Elastomeric seals. Higher temperatures and/or PTFE seals will reduce the pressure rating of the coupling.
