Calcium Gluconate Syrup

Calfic syrup is an ideal combination of calcium, iron with folic acid and B12 vitamin. Ferrous Gluconate is formed with iron and gluconic acid. It is only 12 percent elemental iron. Calcium Gluconate is the calcium salt of gluconic acid, an oxidation product of glucose, and contains 9.3% calcium, which is about one-third of the calcium in strength of calcium chloride USP. Vitamin B12 has a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and for the formation of blood. Folic acid is a form of the water-soluble vitamin B9 and is a key factor in the synthesis of nucleic acid (DNA & RNA). It is vital for production of healthy red blood cells. The use of this compound compared with other iron preparations results in satisfactory reticulocyte responses, a high percentage utilization of iron, and daily increase in hemoglobin that a normal level occurs in a reasonably short time.
