1. CHINA CLAY:
China clay is a clay mineral, part of the group of industrial minerals, with the chemical composition Al2Si2O5(OH)4. It is a layered silicate mineral, with one tetrahedral sheet linked through oxygen atoms to one octahedral sheet of alumina octahedral. China clay is a processed mineral industry, which has experienced a phenomenal growth since its inception nearly three quarters of century ago. This processed mineral, due to its exceptional attributes has become a very important and indispensable ingredient in the innumerable articles of modern everyday life. Calcined Kaolin is an anhydrous aluminium silicate produced by heating ultrafine natural kaolin to high temperatures in a kiln. The calcination process increases whiteness and hardness, improves electrical properties, and alters the size and shape of the kaolin particles.
