Butyl acrylate, other wise known as 2-Propenoic Acid, Butyl Ester. Acrylic Acid n-Butyl Ester, with mol formule. CH2CHCOOC4H9. It is a clear liquid which is slightly soluble in water and completely soluble in alcohols, ethers and almost all organic solvents. It is primarily used in the production of homopolymers and co-polymers for use in water based industrial and architectural paints.
