    Skinned Black Gram ( Dhuli Split Black Urad)--Black gram or urad dal holds a high protein value than other lentils. It is also an excellent source of dietary fibres and micronutrients. Skinned and split urad dal is creamy white and somewhat bland. When boiled, the dal has an unusual gelatinous texture. Tempered aromatically, it can be used as an accompaniment to rotis and rice.
