Contrary to fused high alumina aggregates, BSA 96 is free of carbides and metallic contaminants, which may disturb the performance of monolithics and bricks. Refractory bricks based on BSA 96 are consequently free from any blisters or brown spots. Refractory castables formulated with BSA 96 show stable flow and setting behaviors and do not release any gases.
