Approximately 1,850 women are diagnosed with breast cancer yearly and over 400 die as a result of the disease. What are the symptoms of Breast Cancer?
Swelling, redness, or other visible differences in the skin of one or both breasts
Breast appears larger or shows changes in shape in a short period of time
Changes in the appearance of the nipple, with or without discharge
Tenderness in a small area or the whole breast
Palpable lumps
Change in the colour of the breast
The breast may feel hard, tender or warm
Pitting of the breast skin with red discolouration, giving the appearance similar to the skin of an orange
