Impel offers IM series Brake Motors. Which are for various applications requiring almost instant stopping of drive load. The braking action is obtained without axial sliding of shaft and provided equal braking torque in both directions of rotations. Basically brake motor combination of an a.c. induction motor and a disc type, fail safe Electromagnetic brake unit. The IMB series covers products with outputs from as 0.18Kw to 11.0Kw in frame sizes 71 to 160L in 2, 4 & 6 pole speed. Brake motors are available in foot, Flange Mounting.
