Boron oxide, also known as boric oxide or boria, is a colorless, transparent, glassy solid with the chemical formula B2O3.
 It can be crystallized with great difficulty. 
Boron oxide is found naturally in about 230 boron minerals, including tincal, colemanite, kernite, ulexite, pandermite, boracite, szaybelite, and hydroboracite.
 
Boron oxide is used to increase thermal resistance and mechanical strength. It is also made by dehydrating boric acid.
