Contact SupplierIbandronate sodium has the full chemical name of [1-hydroxy-3-(methylpentylamino)propylidene]bis-phosphonic acid, monosodium salt, monohydrate. Its molecular weight is 359. It is a white to off-white powder and is freely soluble in water. BONDRONAT is available as a sterile, clear and colourless concentrated injection for intravenous (IV) infusion containing 6 mg ibandronic acid (as the monosodium salt monohydrate 6.75 mg). The concentrated injection also contains sodium chloride, acetic acid - glacial, sodium acetate and water for injections. BONDRONAT is also available as white to off-white, film-coated tablets containing 50 mg ibandronic acid (as the monosodium salt monohydrate 56.25 mg). The tablets also contain lactose, cellulose microcrystalline, povidone, crospovidone, stearic acid and silica colloidal anhydrous. The tablet film-coating contains hypromellose, titanium dioxide, purified talc and macrogol 6000.
