Bitumen is produced from the distillation of crude oil and is widely acknowledged for its adhesive properties. In most areas Bitumen is also known as asphalt. The production process of Bitumen is inclined towards removing the lighter components of crude oil such as diesel and gasoline, through its distillation process. Thus, the heaviest of all the components separated in the fractional distillation process is treated, processed and treated later on, in order to make the diverse grades of Bitumen.
