Contact SupplierBison Panel is the best choice as an alternative to wooden flooring to suit different climatic conditions – as a thermal insulating floor, as hollow flooring, as floating floors and as mezzanine flooring.
The following guide lines are recommended for flooring:
♦ The minimum thickness of the board for flooring shall be 16mm panels
♦ The supporting rafters are to be spaced at 610mm centre to centre or less. The edges of the boards are to be fuly supported and fixed to rafters with screws at 400mm centers
♦ Over size screw holes are to be drilled in the board for allowing expansion
♦ The board joints should be staggered. They can be fixed flush. But a gap of about 10 to 15mm is to be left on the periphery of the floor to allow for expansion. The gaps can be concealed by a skirting plate fixed on the wall 2 or 3mm above the floor.
