Direction to use: Open the measuring cup lid of BIB forte bottle. Press the bottle keeping in upright direction to receive the required quantity in the cup and pour it in a container containing required amount of potable water and then dip in it the clean and dry instruments. endoscopes to be disinfected. After completion of holding period take out the instruments, endoscope and rinse it with filtered water for at least three intervals of one minute each. Dry the instrument and use.
Disinfection is effected by number of microbes and quantity of organic matter deposited on the article
Step 1 (Cleaning): Contaminated instruments must be thoroughly cleaned prior to disinfection to reduce the number of organisms and remove organic matter. Rinse the surface and lumen of the instrument thoroughly with large amount of fresh water. Note: Always refer to manufacturers instruction about cleaning, decontamination and disassembly of instrument .
Step 2 (Disinfection): Immerse clean and dry instrument completely in 5% Bib forte solution (50 ml of Bib forte+ 1000 ml of filter water). Don't forget to fill the lumen of instrument if applicable and ensure complete submersion of instrument in Bib forte. Wait for 30 minutes.
Step 3 (Rinsing): Following disinfection the instrument is rinsed thoroughly to remove any residual disinfectant. The lumen of the instrument should be flushed at least three times of one minute duration with large volumes of sterile/filtered water.
