It is a hybrid of Capsicum chinense and Capsicum frutescens. Bhut jolokia, also known as ghost pepper, is the hottest chilli peppers in the world. It is twice as hot as Mexican red savina, the second fieriest pepper. It is twice as strong as habanero pepper, and three times as spicier than cayenne.
