Nicarbazin is a coccidiostat used on meat chickens. It is also used as a contraceptive for population control of Canada geese and feral pigeons.

Nicarbazin is an effective drug for preventing intestinal and caecal coccidiosis in poultry. It is used for the prevention rather than the treatment of disease. Function&Application

Nicarbazine is a broad spectrum coccidiostat. Its inhibitory action occurs on second-generation schizonts(day 4 in the life cycle),so it does not easily develop resistance. It has been approved for prevention and control of coccidiosis in many countries.
1. Nicarbazin have a good effect on prevention and treatment of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria coccidium.
