Betamethasone Dipropionate

A number of skin problems are treated using the drug betamethasone. The swelling, itching, and redness that might develop in these kinds of situations are reduced with betamethasone. This drug is a corticosteroid of medium potency. One of the strongest topical corticosteroids is betamethasone. Topical steroids and topical corticosteroids are synonyms.

Depending on the severity of the problem, Betamethasone Valerate Cream 0.1% is often applied as a thin film to the afflicted region one to three times per day. One or two daily doses are sufficient. This cream can also be used to treat rashes, allergies, eczema, and dermatitis.
