Vetigold is a bioIo.gical insecticide based on a selective strain of naturally-occurring entomopathogenic fungus, Verticillhxm Iecanii. The product contains spores and mycelial fragments of V. Lecanii.

V. Lecanii spores contained in Vertigold when comes in contact with the target insect, attaches to the cuticle (outer skin) and then germinates and grows directly through spiracle into the inner body of the host. By taking nutrients from the insect it further proliferates and colonizes the entire insect and thus drains the insect of nutrients. The infected insects eventually dies.
Advantages: Vertigold control many common pest with minimal impact on beneficial insect population. Wormicide can be used effectively in IPM programs. Generally this combination keeps most of the larvae and adults based pests away from the farms.
Target pests: Vertigold effectively controls the economically important sucking pests such as aphids, Jassids, whitefly, leaf hoppers and mealy bugs for a wide range of crops.

Livc Microorganisms may sometime release gas and formation of thin matt on top of liquid sensitive to temperature and handling which cause bulging of packing. But it is still Iive and ready to use which does not affect the product quality within thc expiry period.
