Barium Sulfate

Basofix® is another leading innovation from 20 Microns with an average particle size of 0.7 microns. Especially formulated for paint, powder coating and pigment manufacturing application, the fine particles of precipitated Barium Sulphate in Basofix impart high gloss & extensive coverage. Barium sulfate is also called as Blanc Fixe, a French word meaning ‘permanent white’.
Basofix® (Blanc Fixe) is chemically synthetic Barium Sulphate with surface modified. Its snow white colour imparts excellent shade and brightness to the end product. Ultra fine Barium Sulphate particles of Basofix act as a spacer for prime pigments and hence contribute to the hiding with very high gloss in end application.
