Bael Patra is an Ayurvadic and religious tree that has been worshipped in India from ancient time. It has excellent medicinal use and belongs from Rutaceae family. Bael Patra contains three compounds such as Rajas, Tamas and Sattva. It is a woody tree and native of India. It is also grown in South- East Asia, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, Laos, Nepal, Java, Bangladesh, Timor Leste, Fiji and Peninsula. Its fruit is called stone apple which is too hard and in round shape. All parts of Bael Patra including fruit, branch leaf and root are used to make medicines to treat much disease like constipation and many more ailments. The Fruit of Bael Patra has so hard and woody shell with yellow peel but it is so sweet and contains gum texture in taste. The leaves of Bael Patra are sacred to worship to Lord Shiva and leaves of Bael Patra are used in the combination of three leaves that considered as three eyes of Lord Shiva.
